For Inquiry we made a solar oven  and put cookies with chocolate buttons on them. What happened was the sun melted the chocolate buttons to make melted chocolate  and we made a google drawing of the oven we made. After that we ate the cookie with the melted chocolate it was yum.I thought that the solar oven was really cool and creative. Have you  cooked with the sun?

To day for Monday  mash up in Japanese we rite our names in Japanese in stead of useing inck we used black pant.After we learned how to say I like …  and then Mresa asked how we felt in Japanese I sed I was good  after we played paper scissors rock but in Japanese. Can you speck Japanese?

For inquiry we have been learning about fossil fuels.We have all so bean learning about Renewable Fuels and Non-renewable fuels the non-renewable fuels are natural gas, oil, and coal. The renewable fuels are nuclear gas,wind turn bines,biomass,solar,and hydro dams. Last week urmi showed us the layers of the grand first comes royal and dirt next comes all of the creatures and then some rocks and some more rocks. After that she got tooth picks and said they were oil rigs and started to dig up the creatures.

Today TWM went to the stardome I learned that their are one thousand  three hundred and eighty mataiki stars. I found the stardome interesting. fun facts that I liked about it I liked the pizza moon because I never knew it exist and I was shocked that I had never knew it had exist in the world the the other thing is that didn’t know about outer space I didn’t know that you could die from other planets once you land on a planet one of the deadly ones once you step on it you will die and then you lose your life and I didn’t know you could die only any planet and I thought aliens wasn’t real but I found out that aliens do exist.

Last week we went to Living Springs Camp we did so much activities my favourite activities was climbing  because I was so proud that I did it because I had two broken wrists and it was so fun my photo represents me climbing. Have you ever  gone to Living Springs Camp?

First  I designed my carving on paper.

Next I used mpdelliing clay to practice the way

I am going to make my necklace and put the hole in it to put the string through.

Then I let my practice model to dry overnight in my studio.

For monday mashup I  decided my own

tiles.

1.       Get your design on paper.

2.        Do you design on the pace of  foam.

3.        Use pencil and poke holes where your designs.

4.        Lab ink over it with a painting brush thing then it is done.

Today we did color block landscape. It was fun We had to do a background of like the sky You could do sky day or sky night and you had to do hills and .You had to do like the sun and moon and stuff It was really fun and we had to tell you that when I called so I did like a moon and then like just dark hills and like a black hill and then it was really fun because it was rely fun.

For Monday Mashup we learnt to crochet with Nanna Ngaere. 

First, we looked at some different kinds of crochet. Then we learnt how to hold our crochet hook and make chains. 

Something I learnt was  how to crochet because I have never done that before and learning to tie.

A value I had to use was success because I had to be really focused to finish my creations.

Nanna Ngaere made some crochet stars for us and we created chains to hang them on. 

Inspired by the Matariki star Hiwa-i-te-rangi we wrote down wishes for the year to attach to our creation.
